Signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocates $1.9 trillion to COVID-19 relief and economic recovery. North Carolina directly received more than $8 billion. The NC Pandemic Recovery Office is responsible for the oversight, administration, and federal reporting for $5.4 billion in State Fiscal Recovery Funds (SFRF).
