Raleigh, N.C. – The North Carolina Pandemic Recovery Office (NCPRO) announced the closeout of $3.6 billion in Coronavirus Relief Funds Wednesday, symbolizing major progress in the economic recovery process and the disbursement of federal aid. NCPRO and over 1,700 state agencies, local governments, hospitals, schools, businesses, and nonprofits have worked together to distribute these funds since the early days of the pandemic.
Today, the North Carolina Pandemic Recovery Office (NCPRO) provided direct guidance and expertise to American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant recipients in Rocky Mount during the largest installment yet of the ARP Expert Tour. Turnout reached nearly 200 people, marking a new attendance record for the tour, and included local government representatives responsible for managing their community’s COVID-19 economic recovery funds.
Raleigh, N.C. – The NC Pandemic Recovery Office launched the inaugural NC Community Engagement Survey in partnership with the NC Rural Center, NC Association of County Commissioners, and NC League of Municipalities.
The North Carolina Pandemic Recovery Office disbursed more than $100 million to local
governments in federal COVID-19 relief funds from the American Rescue Plan last week. As of July 7,
$100,166,588.57 has been disbursed to smaller municipal governments, with additional funding
expected to go to local governments this week.
